It is really easy and really hard at the same time to get your first invite to a Swinger’s House Party. I know that sounds confusing, but read this to the end to find out what I mean.

The easy part is that all you have to do is find and meet someone who is having a house part (or going to one) and then get them to invite you. Okay so that is not as easy to do as it was to write. See what I mean that it can sound a little confusing.

Let’s start with meeting someone first.

It tends to be outgoing couples that get invited the most, as everyone likes someone who is outgoing rather than a wall flower. So when you are at a swing club, make sure you don’t just sit in the corner as no one will see you. Instead why not go sit at the bar? It is so much easier to meet people when you are at the bar. Everyone will need a drink at some point during the night so they will be right beside you. Just say something really exciting to them like… “Hi”, remember they are there to meet people too. Just by saying hi you open the door for them to talk to you, remember though they may be a little shy as well.

Next thing you know you will be chatting away with someone you find interesting. The more people you meet the more likely you will find someone compatible.

Good job, you now have a friend or two in the swinging lifestyle. Now to find a swingers house party.

Mention that you are new (that is if you are — it is not nice to lie), chances are that since you are a newbie, someone will jump on you, so to speak. Actually what I mean is that since everyone was new at one point we all try to help out the “newbies” which is what you will be called for a little while.

When talking to people be sure to mention that you are interested in trying out a house party, that you have never experienced one and are curious as to what to expect. Never be pushy, just inquisitive. Showing an interest may just be the one thing that will put you over the top and get and invite.

House parties are generally a good mix of seasoned veterans and newbies. Most people who host house parties like to help newbies get started in a low pressure atmosphere, which is exactly what a house party is.

Remember even though there are house parties going on all the time, the group of people you are talking to may not have one going on at this point in time. Be patient and things will all work out and you will soon be on the house party circuit.
